Feelia is an innovative pioneer in ready-meal solutions, founded in 2007 in Pyhäntä, Finland. Our mission is to make future food solutions available to every professional kitchen today. We produce tasty, nutritious, and safe ready meals using unique autoclave technology. This process gives our products long shelf life and helps reduce food waste, while also addressing major challenges in the food industry.

Feelia’s Story Highlights
I wonder what kind of good things you could create with an autoclave?

2007-2012
The idea for Feelia began with experimentation using autoclave technology in food preparation. Founders Raimo Liukko and Mikko Tahkola launched the company in 2007, developing the first autoclave-prepared ready meals — such as salmon and meat soups — which quickly earned praise from eaters. In 2012, our concentrated soups were granted a patent.
2013-2014
In 2013, Feelia’s own food factory opened in Pyhäntä, marking a turning point in growth. From this point, customer-driven product development has become central to our strategy. The “Take-a-Soup” ready soup concept was launched at the Gastro trade fair in Helsinki in 2014.


2017-2018
In early 2017, we expanded the Pyhäntä factory and began exports to Sweden and other Nordic countries. A new food factory opened in 2018, doubling our production capacity and enabling annual output of up to 10 million kilograms.
2019-2021
Feelia became part of the Fodelia Group, which listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange First North marketplace in November 2019. The company has since focused on reducing carbon emissions and calculating product carbon footprints. In 2021, a new water recycling system was implemented at the Pyhäntä factory, saving up to 80% of water usage.


2022-
Since 2022, Feelia has strengthened its focus on public-sector and care customers, serving clients including municipal services, daycare chains, and care providers. In 2022, the company celebrated its 15th anniversary. In early 2023, we deepened our commitment to sustainability by introducing sustainability reporting and developing a sustainable plate model based on the new Nordic nutrition recommendations.
