Thoughtful Food Production
Feelia’s core business is food production, and responsibility in the manufacturing of food products is emphasized at every stage of the process. Raw material sourcing, production processes, and material choices are carefully designed in accordance with Lean principles.
Controlled Production
Feelia’s production follows the food safety quality standards FSSC 22000 in Pyhäntä and ISO 22000 in Kokkola, ensuring safe and controlled food production throughout the entire food chain. The certifications require strict food safety processes, help identify potential hazards and critical control points, and define methods to manage them. Certification validity is ensured through regular audits, and continuous monitoring covers the entire process.
Product safety begins with product development and is monitored starting from raw material sourcing. All incoming raw materials are verified based on confirmed product data and batch-specific inspections upon arrival. Quality control during production includes documentation of different production stages, finished products, and any deviations. Cooking is carried out according to product-specific programs, and during autoclaving, temperature curves are monitored for each batch. In 2021, investments were made in cooling by building a customized circulation water system at the Pyhäntä factory. Each production batch is inspected and approved before storage and delivery to customers.
Nutritional Values, Public Health and Food Waste
Feelia’s ready-meal product range is extensive, including main dishes from soups to casseroles, sauces, and vegetable side dishes. The selection ranges from traditional porridges to festive roasts and dessert puddings. The range makes it easy to create rotating and varied menus for several weeks.
Special diets are primarily addressed by selecting lactose-free ingredients and developing new gluten-free products. In a comprehensive service model, special dietary needs are complemented with additional product selections, and individualized diets can be implemented while maintaining full data privacy.
Feelia’s selection includes up to 150 main course products.

Raw Materials
The share of domestic raw materials used by Feelia is 78%.
Favoring domestic ingredients is a value-based choice that supports local producers and ensures high quality and traceability. For example, fresh root vegetables and potatoes are sourced locally, with several contract farmers as partners.
Finished Products
In 2021, we produced 4.8 million kilograms of ready-made food products.
In 2022, we increased the share of vegan and plant-based products. Vegan products accounted for 24% of all products, plant-based products for 33%, and 52% of new products were plant-based.
Hyvää Suomesta Label
59 of our products carry the Hyvää Suomesta (Produced in Finland) label. Our goal is to expand this product range.
